What type of neighborhood do you live in? If you are living in a remote area, you might not worry too much about noise, but if you live in the middle of a bustling city, the outside world might be distracting, or downright disruptive. It could even be your home itself that generates a lot of noise. Pipes rattling or flushing. Rain and wind sounding like it’s inside of your home instead of outside. For most of these situations, there are solutions, some of them cheaper than others.
Your pipes should be firmly attached. Sometimes, it is easy to track down where exactly the pipe is vibrating and then anchor it firmly to stop the noise.
As for outside noises, investing in double pane windows will help mitigate noise much better than single pane windows do. Your insulation also plays a major role. It doesn’t just keep cold or heat out, it does the same for sounds.
