Especially in our great state of Texas, there are few things that make the summer as enjoyable as chilling poolside. Whether you go for a dip in the water, enjoy a beverage in a lounge chair nearby, or grill up a tasty meal on the pool deck, just having the pool there seems to make everything more relaxing and fun. However, there’s an important responsibility that comes with pool ownership, particularly if there are little ones in your family. That responsibility is keeping your kids out of the pool if they’re not properly supervised.
To accomplish this responsibility, many homeowners have installed pool alarm systems. These systems should have a variety of sensors to detect pool access. The sensors may include sub-surface disturbance sensors, surface wave sensors, proximity alarms, and even wristbands that detect moisture. Regardless of the sensor – or, more importantly, sensors – that you choose, please be sure that your pool alarm system is working properly at all times.
