While we’ve talked about mold on this blog in the past, it’s important that we highlight the topic as it relates to a specific room in your home – the bathroom. The reason why it’s so important is that your home’s bathroom is different than all the other rooms in your home – it’s likely the most prone to mold growth. If for no other reason, mold loves moisture, and there happens to be a device that always has not one, but two reservoirs of standing water.

More than that, most of the activities that happen in a bathroom relate to water. Whether it’s a steamy shower, a long soak in the tub, or even brushing your teeth, there’s water involved. Because of that, it’s important to do what you can to reduce the level of moisture in the air. Clean up puddles as soon as possible. Don’t let damp towels or clothes sit around for too long. Repair leaks as soon as you can. Run the exhaust vent regularly. Things like these can help prevent mold growth in your bathroom.
