A fire in your home is a scary thing. Every year, lives are lost and much property is damaged due to fire, but in many cases, people are able to save themselves and even their home with the help of a smoke detector. Smoke detectors or fire alarms have been around for over a hundred years, and they are vital for early warning. Unfortunately, they can easily be disabled by human interference. Once the battery gets low, and the alarm starts chirping, the tendency of many is to pop out the battery to make it stop, and then forget about it. This could prove fatal. Once a fire starts, the smoke might make it more difficult to wake up, and once your home is engulfed in flames, it could be too late.
You should have a fire alarm installed outside of each bedroom in your home, as well as, on every floor. If you want a more secure setup than a simple battery alarm, you could invest in a wired system, that is less prone to error due to human interference.
